Hibiscus Sunrise

A double Hibiscus grown in Hawaii inspired this painting. The colors convey the vibrance of a pink and yellow sunrise.
 
This silk painting started with white Habotai silk from Thailand, a light design was penciled in and then it was painted with French Dyes. The painted silk was then steam set for 2 hours and then mounted to aluminum using an archival quality clear sealer.
 
Location: This artwork is online only but can be viewed by appointment at the Plantation Artists Guild and Gallery.
