Mounted on archival quality aluminum. One of my joys in moving to Florida is that I have finally been able to grow orchids and to get them to re-bloom. I love flowers, and here is a painting that includes blooms from one of my favorite subjects. Orchids have some interesting bits of amazing architecture. They also tend to punch in a circus of color. This silk painting started with white Habotai silk from Thailand, a light design was penciled in and then it was painted with French Dyes. The painted silk was then steam set for 2 hours and then mounted to aluminum using an archival quality clear sealer.
 
Location: This artwork is currently on display at the Plantation Artists Guild and Gallery located at the Shops of Amelia Island Plantation.
