White Poinsetta #1
6"x4" (11.5x9.5 including frame) Silk Painting.
 
Mounted on archival quality aluminum. The White Poinsettia embodies the purity and spirit of the holiday season. This study is the beginning of a series that will features the simple beauty of this bloom. This silk painting started with white Habotai silk from Thailand, a light design was penciled in and then it was painted mwith French Dyes. The painted silk was then steam set for 2 hours and then mounted to aluminum using an archival quality clear sealer.
 
Location: This artwork is currently on display at the Plantation Artists Guild and Gallery located at the Shops of Amelia Island Plantation.
