From the Artist: "I have been making art my entire life. I became a professional artist at age eight when I convinced my gracious neighbors to buy my found object sculptures. I have a B.S. degree in Art Education from Penn State University and post graduate credits in both education and art, but really the education primarily comes from years of creating. I taught art for 7 years in the public schools in Alaska and Pennsylvania, and privately on and off for many more. I kept making art even while raising three daughters and marketed my work primarily through art fairs and galleries. I moved to Amelia Island, FL in 2002, and opened my own gallery, Carol Winner Art, in downtown Fernandina Beach. My work is commercially and privately owned throughout the U.S. as well as internationally."
