“The Art of the Print”
Printmaking Presentation

(3:00 to 3:30 stay for an optional fun quiz)
🌊 Did you know this Emoji is from a woodcut by a famous artist? Enjoy a presentation of various forms of printmaking given by a master printmaker. You'll learn about the tools and processes for making prints—from the ancient woodcut form of printmaking to modern serigraph and screen-printing techniques. Learn, too, about the famous artists who loved using the medium and about their specific techniques. At the end of the session, you can take a fun quiz to test your knowledge of well-known artists and the printmaking techniques they used.

“Making A Splash”
Watercolor tips and techniques

On Tuesday, January 31st, Rebecca McDannold and Leslie Collins demonstrated techniques of watercolor. Rebecca discussed pouring watercolor backgrounds, painting on aquaboard, and watercolor collage. Leslie explained the importance of quality paper, pigments, and ways to enhance the final painting.
Rebecca and Leslie were a great team and the demonstration was well received!
Flemmish Oil Painting Demonstration

Tuesday, November 29, Depy Adams provided a demonstration at the PAGG gallery on still life painting done in the classic Flemish indirect oil painting technique. She discussed the setup and lighting of objects to make the composition and painted the panel as a finished monochromatic modeled painting. The complicated process was so integral to understand this former painting method. Thank You Depy!!!



Print Making Demonstration by Deb Ahern
In April, artist Deb Ahern gives an up close and personal demonstration on the art of print making, demonstrating her skills in carving linoleum and then painting and printing a test pattern. Deb is so talented!



Reception for Show 53 - Follow the Light
Opening Night Reception in April was a packed house! (Thank you to Stan Cottle for grabbing some photos before the gallery was too full!) Join us for our NEXT show opening on June 24, 2022! Thank you to Osprey Village for the wonderful food!
