Background story: My husband and I started walking the beach as soon as we moved to Amelia Island but had never gotten up early enough to take in a sunrise. As I familiarized myself with all the island had to offer, I noticed all these gorgeous sunrise and sunset pictures and paintings posted on Facebook pages and hung in art galleries across the island. So, one day I decided to get to the beach in time for sunrise and on that very first sunrise walk this glorious daybreak dawned.
Amelia Island: Sunrise and sunset on this island are beautiful. Each one is a unique moment-by-moment, ever-changing display of nature’s splendor.
Location: This artwork is currently on display at the Plantation Artists Guild and Gallery located at The Shops at OMNI Amelia Island (94 Amelia Village Circle).
